Which lights are best for a mosque?

Even light on the floor, no glare in the line of prayer, and fixtures that can be maintained from a ladder.

The requirement is unusual: light has to be even on the floor, comfortable when looking up or forward, and maintainable without scaffolding.

Layered, not centred

One large central chandelier looks impressive and lights the floor badly. A ring of fixtures with a decorative centrepiece does both jobs.

Colour temperature

3000K to 4000K reads as calm and keeps carpet and woodwork looking right. 6500K feels clinical in a prayer hall.
